Happy (B)earthday to Me!

Its here. My quarter of a century day. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little sad. I'm getting older. 25 is by no means old...just older.

Moving on...

Tuesday night my photog class took a little field trip to The Harbor District in Rockwall. The Harbor is this cute little Mediterranean style area on Lake Ray Hubbard with shops and dining and a movie theater. It is accessible by car or boat. We set up our tripods for sunset and night shots. People were looking at us like we were crazy. :o)

Here's a few shots. These are are largely unedited with the exception of a little sharpening. The colors are straight out of the camera.

This one is my favorite. (click to go to Flickr and see it larger)

  1. I should take a photography class. I cannot take night pictures at all! Great job!! I too am afraid of the M setting! :(

  2. happy birthday. i will be turning 25 this year too, in a few months, and I sorta feel the same. I feel like at 25 you aren't quite a young adult anymore but rather just a regular adult. i hope you have a wonderful birthday--great pictures!

  3. Those pix are amazing. Wow. I really just soaked them up.

As far as 25...it was one of my least favorite birthdays. It just felt weird. Oddly, my favorite birthday so far was 30!
