Preparation

We leave in 2 days. Whoa. Where did the time go? I'm pretty sure June was actually only 2 days long.

I think I'm excited to be going. Excited to get to meet and serve this community, excited about cooler weather (highs in the 80s) and excited that the stress and frustration associated with preparing for this trip will be behind us.

I'm not gonna lie, its been hard. There have been times when I just don't feel like going on this trip anymore. I've been put in charge of something, and had it taken away, and put in charge of it again only to have it taken away again. I feel like things are so scattered, and communication is lacking, and for someone like me...its frustrating.

I have every confidence that it will come together next week though. Some how, some way, it will come together. God has a purpose for us there, and I pray that it will be accomplished. That we will be united as a team, that we will be flexible and available and willing. That we will have strength, and good health to get through a long week. That we will develop new relationships in our team, and that the people in California will be blessed. That the love of Christ would be evident in our actions and our words. That all of this would bring glory to His kingdom.

Because its been so hectic here, trying to get ready, I haven't finished editing the pictures from Alicia's wedding, I haven't started editing the pictures from a doggy photo shoot I did this week, and I can't even begin to tell you how rewarding it was to serve the women at Glamorous Nights last night. BUT, I'm hoping to do a lot of editing in the airport/on the plane, and hopefully I'll have some down time next week to share those pictures.

Keep our team in your prayers!

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the LORD of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Luke 10:2
